YJ: Fire, Rain, and Casual Friday

Next round of Young Justice Rogues. This time its Heat Wave and Weather Wizard.

Heat Wave’s costume is the most complicated yet for good reason. His suit has to stand up to high temperatures. I took ideas mostly from his ‘Road to Flash Point’ outfit. The mask was kept because with all the fire he produces, I can only imagine the amount of smoke that goes with it. And as the saying goes two is better than one. And I bet he just can’t resist bigger flames.

Weather Wizard was easier and harder in a way. His design hasn’t changed much over the years so not really much to work with like Mick’s little changes here and there. I kept the collar cause its classy and made sure his hands were still protected (he is so dainty with his wand, I swear!). Added some different shades of green in the mix to make it look less like he was wearing footie pajamas.

So I’m one of those people who likes knowing what hero’s and villains look like in and out of costume. After all, I don’t think any of them spends all their time in one set of clothing. So this is what I think both Mirror Masters, Weather Wizard, and Heat Wave look like according to the YJ costumes I designed them (so yea, sorry if this messes with their characters).

Evan is still a teen so I gave him a causal jacket and jeans. Couldn’t help but put him in a hat, he pulls one off well.

Sam was harder because I know so little about him personality wise. The way my thoughts go according to the redesigns Ive done, Sam is on of the oldest in the rogues along with Mick and Len. So mid to late 40s. And graying (being a criminal and dealing with a teen probably doesn’t help). Bet he likes comfort over fashion with a simple sweater and pants.

Mark, first thought was honestly how he loves literature and went from there. Set him up with nicer clothes, a scarf, and skinny black jeans. Figure he’s late 20s to early 30s.

Mick had to be the easiest. He likes warmth which made it a good idea to put him in a baggy turtle neck sweater and slacks. Yep, he’s bald (which is canon sometimes) but I think its best that he doesn’t have any hair that could catch on fire.
